John Wall on ESPN's Sport Science

There are quite a few Wizards fans who have spent the past weeks thrilling themselves with videos and photos featuring the amazing basketball feats of John Wall. At least one blogger has started referring to this genre as "John Wall Porn."

Well, that's what these videos feel like. They come from ESPN's "Sport Science," which was trying to establish an empirical explanation of what makes Wall so good. Host John Brenkus and his research types analyzed Wall's speed and vision with some tests, and then presented the results in luscious, adoring and explicit slow-motion. Above is the speed segment, and below is the vision segment. Among the highlights:

* In two steps Wall can accelerate to almost 50 percent of his top speed.

* The speed test measured Wall cutting around a cone to the basket. Adding a basketball to the drill slowed him down by just 0.05 seconds.

* Wall runs faster while dribbling a basketball than Kevin Durant runs without a ball.

* In a straight sprint with no ball, Wall is faster than Chris Paul or Deron Williams.

* As it did at the combine, Wall's vertical tested at 39 inches.

* The vision thing? Well, it involved passing a ball through one of three targets located at an 85 degree angle, which Brenkus said afforded just 2.5 percent of one's vision. To see how Wall did, you really ought to just click on this clip. It will make Wizards fans sort of happy.

Lebron James watching Kobe Bryant on tv during the Finals at home GIF

Must feel nice to take vacation earlier than everyone else. Then again if you're the self-proclaimed King, you can do whatever you want - except things that are sometimes out of your control (or is it?) - such as making it to the Finals again.
