Nike Zoom Flight Club Kansas State Wildcats Custom Logo PE

Another custom using the Nike Zoom Flight Club Black/White/Varsity Purple. The Kansas State Wildcats Logo was added to the strap on both L/R shoes. Read on the internet that compact digicams aren't able to capture royal purple very well. It usually turns out shades of blue. This is evident in the 4th pic. The only way I could get a better pic of the purple was to adjust it to floresecent setting on the Powershot - still has a tinge of orange. A simple addition geared toward the Wildcats fan.

Nike Zoom Lebron VI Kid Lebron Royal Blue Kentucky Wildcats Custom Logo

So we had a pair of Nike Zoom Lebron VI Kid Lebron Edition 10.5 DS laying around. Not a artist/shoe custom person by any means, but thought I could spice up the shoe by adding the University of Kentucky Wildcats UK logo on the shoe in two places - on the lateral side near heel on both L/R shoes and also adding the shoe lace charms to the shoe. I also switched out the laces as the original lace tips would not fit through lace charm holes. The elements from the shoe/Kid Lebron Edition remained untouched (shoe colorway, Kid Lebron image on inside tongue - not pictured).
The young Wildcats were bounced in the Elite 8, but 2009-10 was a great bounce-back season for them. Pictured with Nike 2010 Kentucky Wildcats Aerographic John Wall #11 Away jersey.

How to kill your chance at the NBA

don't blow the interview process....

ex-USC early entry Davon Jefferson(played with OJ Mayo) now overseas with Maccabi Haifa (team that Jeremy Tyler-skipped Sr year of high school) - undrafted.
now trying to make it to the NBA.

http://www.mhbasket.co.il/News.asp?id=771&lang=en

If we compare him to Omri Casspi, it seems that Davon is just as good.

"I think that the best thing about Omri is his attitude, he is a great guy and a player you want on your team. Davon has an image of a lazy player, who gained a lot of weight at the worst timing, and gave stupid answers in interviews. One of the teams told that they interviewed 4 players and asked them: "if you weren't a basketball player, what would you do?" everyone gave answers like a baseball player or a doctor. And what did Davon say? I would be a stripper. That is another example for how he shot himself in the foot, and that is what he is remembered by today. There are a lot of athletic players in the NBA, but the difference is in the attitude and Davon will need to prove that he has changed it".

DeMar Derozan in Nike Germany PE Dirk Nowitzki Hyperdunks

DeMar DeRozan in Nike Hyperdunk Germany Dirk PEs

Sat. Nov. 15, 2008 - USC's top recruit DeMar DeRozan in Nike Hyperdunk Germany Dirk PEs - flag on tongue, 14 (Dirk's national number) on medial side - in his first regular season game vs UCI. USC won 78-55.
"After swishing the first two free throws of his collegiate career, DeRozan made the first shot he took, a 15-footer from the baseline. He finished with 14 points on 6-for-11 shooting and added three rebounds, two steals and an assist with two turnovers in 28 minutes."

DeMar is #10, Dirk is #14 - go figure. Maybe he's just a Dirk fan.

NBA Where Defense and Determination Happens

Demar Derozan Tapped for Dunk-In Contest

http://www.torontosun.com/sports/basketball/2010/01/15/12474476-sun.html

NEW YORK -- DeMar DeRozan has talked about it since his draft day, and now his goal of competing in the NBA all-star slam-dunk contest is one step closer.

DeRozan, the high-flying shooting guard for the Raptors, is one of two NBA players who will be competing in a first-time Dunk-In contest on the Friday evening of all-star weekend in Dallas from Feb. 12-14.

A win on the Friday earns him a spot in Saturday's slam-dunk contest.

Joining DeRozan in the Dunk-In contest will be LA. Clippers sophomore Eric Gordon, the seventh overall pick in 2008.

The winner will be decided by the fans, by text or online vote at NBA.com.

The three automatic berths for this year's dunk contest will be announced Monday night.

Despite his rookie status, DeRozan, who has been able to dunk since the sixth grade, goes into this competition with a lot of confidence. He already is on record as saying he expects to win the NBA slam-dunk contest.

"I don't care if (Michael )Jordan is in it," DeRozan said.

"Ever since I was in the eighth or ninth grade, every dunk contest I did, I never lose," he said last night. "In the ninth grade, I was in one with Mike Beasley and Gerald Henderson and won. I always feel confident. I like pulling things off."

DeRozan isn't that far removed from his most recent Slam Dunk contest, at the 2008 McDonald's high-school all-America game, which he won with perfect scores on both his dunks in the final, impressing no less an authority than Julius Erving, the father of the move, who was a celebrity judge.

DeRozan knows there is no re-inventing the wheel when it comes to dunking.

"I've got a few things up my sleeve," he said. "I'll try to be a little creative. I just want to add a little flair."

Brandon Jennings 55 Pt Game Bucks vs Warriors

11/14/09 Brandon Jennings goes off. Check out the Under Armour Shoes with the Maryland Terrapins logo.

Golden State coach Don Nelson praised Jennings' performance. "Holy smokes," Nelson said. "I think that's probably the best rookie performance I've ever witnessed in 30-some years of coaching. We tried to handle him every way possible really. He had quite a game."

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Jennings now has the mark for fewest games (seven) into an NBA career with a 50-point game.

Jennings has joined Cleveland's LeBron James as the only two players in league history to score at least 50 points before turning 21 years old. James did it twice at age 20, scoring 56 in March 2005 and 52 in December 2005.

After Jennings' big night against Golden State on Saturday, he ranks eighth in the league in scoring at 25.6 points per game and is fourth in three-point field goal percentage, hitting 17 of 30 attempts for a mark of 56.7%.

Antonio McDyess before his knee injury

With word of Blake Griffin's left patella fracture, a history buff is reminded that Antonio McDyess, who BG is often compared to(Clips also picked #2 overall, but immediately traded to Denver right away), also suffered a patella fracture during preseason in his first season with the New York Knicks in '02.

http://www.nytimes.com/2002/10/14/sports/pro-basketball-mcdyess-s-knee-injury-buckles-the-knicks.html

McDyess, the All-Star power forward the Knicks were expecting to lead them back into playoff contention, fractured his left kneecap during the final minutes of Saturday's 94-87 exhibition loss to the Phoenix Suns at Madison Square Garden. After a magnetic resonance imaging test revealed the fracture yesterday, doctors said McDyess would be out indefinitely.

Let's hope it isn't as severe, 6 weeks is the prognosis, but these high risers may never be the same again. Good thing Blake is still young and maybe medical rehabilitation has improved even more since then.
